Looking for highly motivated, insightful, and inquisitive Software Technical Writer to join team in Georgia or Poland, who will be responsible for maintaining the integrity & reliability of the software documentation by working closely with the Product Management and Engineering groups.
Обязанности
- The mission of the technical writer is to actively gather information from engineers, QA representatives, and product managers in order to write documentation for the Regulatory Reporting software with the objective of making the life of the customer easier; Documentation includes writing software user guides, reference manuals, and release notes;
- The writing process should be very systematic and the writer should investigate the functions that he or she is assigned, and understand them in order to fully document them. The writer should report any issue that he or she has encountered, and conduct all necessary research to complete the task. More specifically, the writer should apply the layout guidelines and templates, and organize the document in an intuitive and consistent fashion;
- The writer should possess the ability to pay attention to detail and review his or her work;
- For release notes, the writer should document all bugs that have been fixed and all enhancements that have been tested and approved, and furthermore update the documentation for the enhancements;
- The writer will use file control system tools for maintaining versions of the documents, desktop publishing tools for writing the documents, and take snapshots of the software applications for illustrating the explanations.
Требования
- BA in the languages and/or BS in computer sciences;
- Minimum 2 years of software technical writing experience;
- Strong writing and desktop publishing skills, as well as excellent communication skills;
- Proven ability to provide written output that is accurate, concise, free of grammatical errors, and follows a logical progression;
- Strong teamwork skills, investigative skills, a self-starter, and a proven record of completing projects on time;
- The candidate should have an understanding of the software release and development lifecycle. This position requires someone who is a self starter and has the desire to work in a challenging environment.
